Dear Readers,
It has been our family’s second move this year so Vivienne’s nursery was pretty much non-existent. When we finally got settled, I was itching to put together a little space for her to explore and enjoy. And I say little because this room is only 11x10. It was one of the challenges I had to overcome. The other is that this home is a rental so painting was out of the question. Therefore, I had a plain canvas that needed serious color! I decided against a theme in order to avoid the room looking matchy matchy. It was a risk for me in the beginning because I had no clear direction until I found a printed bed sheet. From that point on, I knew I wanted a cheerful room that suited my daughter’s lively personality. I’m thrilled with how this once drab space is now bold with lots of color. I’ve learned to not be afraid of mixing patterns and textures and to have fun in the process. I really love this room and know that Vivi will grow to love it too.

Love,
Cory
